REGULAR MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MEDINA
DECEMBER 5,1962
Meeting called to order at 8.00 by Mayor Scott. All members present.
Minutes of November 8 fleeting were read. Motion by H. Winterhalter to accept
minutes as read, second by H. Arens, Motion carried.
Minutes of planning commission recommending an ordinance controling billboards
and signs was read. Motion by Arthur Gertz to request the planning commission
to present the coucil with a draft ordinance regulatieng the plamcing of signs
and billboards. second by H. Arens, motion carried.
Mayor Scott reported that theere has beenn a great deal of vandalism in the
village to signs. Motion by H Winterhalter to have signs printed offering
a $50.00 reward for arrest and conviction of persons damaging village property,
these signs to be placed on all roads leading into the village, second by
Gertz, motion carried.
Council discusedd the cemetery road past the Ben Klaers property, placing the
reed correctly would involve re=building about 1100 feet or road and would
cost from 1,000 to $1500.00. Loretto church would take care of the landscaping
antl—grewel and moving Klaers fence.. The county would take care of the first
100 feet of #19. Motion by Arens to relocate # 9 where it joins # 19 so that
it conforms to the specifications of the original survey of 1921. The Village
to be resposnible for the grading and gravel and moving the culverts and removal
of trees. The Cemetery Association to be responsible for filling in the old road
bed and the removal and replacement of the fence on Ben Klaers property, second
by Gertz, motion carried.
Discussion on the Kubic gagage, Arthur Gertz suggested postponing the matter
until it had comeup in justice court.
Motion by Art Gertz to adjourn, seond by H Arens, motion carried.
