REQUESTING AN EXTENSION OF TIME FROM THE DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE AWARD OF CONTRACTS FOR THE
LOWER ROOSEVELT A VENUE STREETSCAPE-FY 2005- SAFE
STREETS TO SCHOOLS PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret received a Safe Streets to Schools Program
Grant from the NJDOT for the above referenced project; and
WHEREAS, the project has been divided in to two phases, the first phase which
has been awarded to S. Brothers Contracting, which is outside of the work limits
included in the grant, and the second phase to be awarded in 2006; and
WHEREAS, in order to maintain the funding, approval of a time extension by the
NJDOT is required;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Borough Council of the Borough of
Carteret, that a one year extension is hereby requested as follows:
"
Lower Roosevelt Avenue Streetscape-FY 2005-Safe Streets to Schools
Program be extended from January 17, 2006 to January 17, 2007,
Adopted this 15th day of December, 2005
and certified as a true copy of the
original on December 16,2005.
