AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FOR THE YWCA FROM
THE INDIANA CRIMINAL JUSTICE INSTITUTE
WHEREAS, The Genesis Crime Victims Assistance Program of the YWVA desires to apply for a Crime Victims Assistant grant from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute; and
WHEREAS, the City of Richmond will be the official recipient of said grant and the YWCA the sub-recipient; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable that the City of Richmond assist the YWCA by obtaining this grant to financially support Genesis, the YWCA’s Victims Assistance Program
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The City of Richmond is hereby authorized to apply for grant funding from the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty Seven Thousand Dollars ($57,000.00).
3. If awarded, said funds shall be appropriated to the YWCA as sub-recipient of the grant, for use in the YWCA’s Genesis Program.
Passed and adopted this 17th day of April, 2000, by the Common Council for the City of Richmond, Indiana.
