RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT AUTHORIZING
THE GENERAL MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LEASE TO DONNA
DUCCA-JOHSENS AND PARKER JOHSENS (SKYLINE CHRISTMAS
TREE FARM, SKYLINE RIDGE AND MONTE BELLO OPEN SPACE
PRESERVES)
WHEREAS, the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) may, under the
provisions of California Public Resources Code section 5540, lease property owned by the
District; and
WHEREAS, the lease of the Skyline Christmas Tree Farm is compatible with park and
open space purposes, and the lease of such premises is in the public interest; and
WHEREAS, the District wishes to lease the Skyline Christmas Tree Farm to Donna
Ducca-Johsens and Parker Johsens on the terms set forth in the attached report.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Directors of Midpeninsula Regional Open Space
District does hereby resolve as follows:
1. The General Manager is authorized to execute the Lease on behalf of the District with
Donna Ducca-Johsens and Parker Johsens for an initial term of ten (10) years.
2. The General Manager is authorized to grant one additional ten (10) year extension of the
Lease on the terms and conditions set forth in the Lease. The General Manager shall
report any such extension of the Lease to the Board of Directors at the Board meeting
immediately following the granting of the extension. The General Manager or designee
is further authorized to sign and approve all other documents necessary or appropriate to
entering into the Lease.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Board of Directors of the Midpeninsula Regional
Open Space District on June 9, 2021, at a regular meeting thereof, by the following vote:
AYES: CYR, HASSETT, HOLMAN, KERSTEEN-TUCKER, KISHIMOTO, RIFFLE,
SIEMENS
NOES: NONE
ABSTAIN: NONE
ABSENT: NONE
