Night-time Milling and Paving Work on Battlefield Parkway
and Evergreen Mill Road Begins Sunday, May 6, 2018
Leesburg, VA (May 1, 2018) – As part of the Battlefield Parkway capital improvement project,
milling and final surface paving work on Battlefield Parkway is scheduled to begin on Sunday
evening, May 6, 2018. Adjacent sections of Evergreen Mill Road and the intersection of
Battlefield Parkway and Evergreen Mill Road are included in this work. The work is expected to
be completed by Thursday, May 24, 2018.
The work area includes:
Battlefield Parkway, from Evergreen Mill Road to the Dulles Greenway
Evergreen Mill Road, from Tolbert Lane to Heritage High School
Due to the high traffic volumes during the day, work hours will be from 6:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
nightly, Sunday through Friday. During milling and paving operations, crews will maintain one
lane of traffic by flagging operations. Motorists should exercise caution when driving in this
area and follow flagger directions.
The schedule above is subject to inclement weather delays and mechanical difficulties. Any
