Leesburg Celebrates National Kids to Parks Day with Photo
Contest
Winner will receive a one-day family pass to AV Symington Aquatic Center.
Leesburg, VA (May 3, 2018) – National Kids to Parks Day is Saturday, May 19, 2018. To
celebrate, Leesburg is hosting a photo contest to encourage families to get outside and enjoy
the great outdoors by visiting the town’s parks.
The Leesburg Kids to Parks Day photo contest will run from May 16, 2018, at 8:00 a.m. to May
19, 2018, at 10:00 p.m. The winner will receive a one-day family pass to the outdoor pool at AV
Symington Aquatic Center and will be invited to attend the Town Cou ncil Meeting on Tuesday,
May 22, 2018, to be recognized by the Council.
Photo contest rules are:
Photos must be taken in a Town of Leesburg park and feature kids or families enjoying
the outdoors.
Photos must be posted on the Leesburg’s Kids to Parks Day Photo Contest Facebook
page at www.facebook.com/leesburgpicinthepark by 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19,
2018. The Facebook page will go live at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.
Name of the park must be included in the submission.
Use the hashtags #kidstoparksday and #leesburgpicinthepark
By entering the photo contest, participants grant the Town of Leesburg permission to
use their photographs for marketing purposes.
Contest participants must be 18 or older.
The winning photo will be posted on the Town of Leesburg website and the Ida Lee Parks &
Recreation and Town of Leesburg social media accounts.
