Leesburg’s AV Symington Aquatic Center Opens for the Season
on Saturday, May 26, 2018
Outdoor pool will be open weekends only May 26 through June 13.
Leesburg, VA (May 14, 2018) –
Leesburg’s AV Symington Aquatic
Center will open for the summer
season on Saturday, May 26,
2018. On Memorial Day weekend,
the pool will be open from 12:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday,
Sunday, and Monday, May 26
through 28. Town residents will
be admitted at 11:00 a.m. each
day.
Through June 13, while Loudoun
County Public Schools remain in
session, the pool will be open on
Saturdays and Sundays only from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Beginning on Thursday, June 14, the
Aquatic Center will be open daily from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with Town residents admitted
at 11:00 a.m.
Admission passes are now on sale. Passes can be purchased at the Ida Lee Park Recreation
Center through Friday, May 25, 2018. On Saturday, May 26, 2018, the window at the Aquatic
Center will open at 11:00 a.m. and passes may be purchased at the Aquatic Center from then
through the end of the season. Visit www.idalee.org for details on passes, special hours and

The AV Symington Aquatic Center is located within Ida Lee Park and features a 600’ lazy river,
large slide tower with two body flumes, drop slide, 25-yard lap lane, two gang slides, water pipe
fall, crossing feature, dumping buckets, little squirt whale and floating snake, as well as a large
“beach” area with bubblers and water fountains, concession stand and grass picnic area.
