A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE ATTACHED CONTRACT WITH THE
LOS ANGELES COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT ~ :~ ` ,
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Lynwood'is desirous of creating and
maintaining a safe community; and
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood's contract with the Los Angeles County
Sheriffs Department expired June 30, 2009; and
WHEREAS, The City desires to maintain continuous law enforcement services to
the community; and ,
WHEREAS, Sufficient funding to continue the current basic law enforcement
services is included as part of the adopted FY 2009-10 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to carry out any
necessary transactions as so ordered by this resolution.
Section 2. That the City Council authorizes the Mayor to sign the attached five
year contract.
Section 3. That the City Council authorizes the City Manager to sign the
Service Level Authorization Form.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
