Home My Public Portal Aboutr 06:178 ~l\e5DllXttol1 of H¡e ~orolX£I1 of C1Iurterd) þL 3J~ No J06-178 Dale of Adoption_ Tnn'" 1 ') J ?006 APPROVING CHANGE ORDER # 1 ALLST ATE POWER V AC -HILL DISTRICT / WEST CARTERET SEWER PROJECTS - SEWER LINING WHEREAS, the Governing Body of the Borough of Carteret has previously awarded a contract to Allstate Power Vac in the amount of$72,185.00 for the Hill DistricUW est Carteret Sewer Projects -- Sewer Lining; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer for the project, T & M Associates, has advised the Governing Body that a modification of the contract is reasonable and necessary and has recommended that the aforesaid contract be modified in accordance with Contract Change Order #l(See attached); and WHEREAS, Change Order # 1 includes final a's-built quantities and supplementary work performed on Pekola A venue; and WHEREAS, Change Order # I provides for a net increase in the contract price in the amount of $6\593.30 resulting in a revised contract price of $78,778.30 including all previously approved Change Orders; and WHEREAS, the Borough's Consulting Engineer, T & M Associates has advised that the above described changes and/or modifications to the project were unforeseen at the time of the award of the original contract. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as follows: 1. That the Contract Change Order #1 attached hereto and made a part hereof, resulting in a net increase of $6,593.30 in the overall contract price, including all previous Change Orders, resulting in a revised contract pnce of $78,778.30 is hereby approved. 2. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to' execute Change Order #1 based upon the recommendation of the Borough Engineer. 3. That the Borough Purchasing Department is hereby authorized to execute payment pursuant to the Final Payment Certification No. 2 (See Attached). 4. A copy of this resolution and a fully executed copy of Change Order #1 be forwarded to T&M Associates for distribution to Allstate Power Vac.
