AUTHORIZING MAYOR TO EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT WITH
THE COUNTY OF MIDDLESEX FOR CDB GRANT
WHEREAS, the County of Middlesex ("County") has agreed to award the sum of
Fourteen Thousand One Hundred and Forty-Four Dollars ($14,144.00) to the
Borough of Carteret ("Borough") in Community Development Block Grant funds
for Americans with Disabilities Act Compliance at the Library Building at 63
Carteret Avenue; and
\VHEREAS, as a condition to the award of such monies the parties must enter into
a formal Agreement setting forth the tenns and conditions of said grant; and
WHEREAS, the Borough finds said grant to be desirable and is willing to accept
said grant pursuant to the tenns and conditions set forth in the attached Grant
Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Cm1erel as follows;
1. That the Mayor and Borough Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
to execute the attached Grant Agreement with the County of Middlesex
on behalf of the Borough.
2. That a copy of the executed Grant Agreement be forwarded to the
County of Middlesex as requested.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 16,2006.
