Leesburg, VA (May 29, 2018) – Waterford photographer Roger Lancaster is the featured artist during this summer’s exhibit at the Leesburg Town Hall. Lancaster’s exhibit, titled “Scene from My Eyes,” features a series of themed vignettes ranging from “Scenes of Loudoun” to “Scenes from Hands at Work.” Over 40 of his images will be on display until August 31, 2018. A retired association executive, Lancaster has been an active photographer for the past 10 years. His mission in his photography is to bring the outdoors inside. While his works include landscapes, flora and fauna, and other aspects of nature, he finds himself branching out to other genre as well. As he says, “I basically shoot what I find interesting and tend to gravitate toward the out-of-the ordinary.” Roger has received numerous honors for his photography, includ ing images being selected for two years running as the Best of Loudoun category, sponsored by the former Loudoun Today newspaper, at the Waterford Fair. Many of his images have been featured in magazines, on photography websites, and can be found in many p rivate collections. Active in the Northern Virginia Photographic Society, Roger is currently President of the Nature Visions Photo Expo, a major photo exhibit that takes place every fall at George Mason University and has become recognized as the premier nature photography photo exhibit in the Mid-Atlantic region. A reception to open the exhibit will be held at the Town Hall on Friday, June 1, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The first floor lobby and hallways of the Leesburg Town Hall feature rotating exhibits by Leesburg and Loudoun artists.
