DECEMBER 17, 2013
The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on December 17, 2013 at
6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Chambers. Mayor Weir presided.
I. ROLL CALL
Members present: Martinson, Martin, Anderson, Pederson and Weir.
Members absent: None.
Also present: City Attorney Ron Batty, League Appointed Attorney George Hoff, City
Planner Dusty Finke, and City Administrator Scott Johnson.
II. CLOSED SESSION: ON -GOING LITIGATION
The meeting adjourned to closed session at 6:01 p.m. to discuss on -going litigation.
The meeting reconvened to open session at 6:30 p.m.
III. HAMEL VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AGREEMENT
DISCUSSION
Hamel Fire Chief Neil Wolfe and Hamel Firefighter Mario Fabrizio joined the meeting at
6:30 PM. The City Council discussed whether a bi-lateral agreement was needed,
whether additional insurance coverage was needed, if the proposed budget increase was
acceptable, and discussed language changes to the agreement. The City Council agreed
to pull the Hamel Fire Services Agreement from the December 17, 2013 Consent Agenda
for further discussion.
IV. ADJOURN
Mayor Weir adjourned the meeting at 7: 03 p.m.
