Leesburg Kids to Parks Day Photo Contest Winner Revealed
Winning photo was taken at the playground at Ida Lee Park.
Leesburg, VA (May 30, 2018) – Leesburg resident Betsy Rifka’s photo of her two-year-old
daughter Evelyn at the Ida Lee Park playground was selected as the winning photo in the Town
of Leeburg’s Kids to Parks Day photo contest.
According to Ms. Rifka, she and her daughter have visited the playground at least once a week,
rain or shine, ever since Evelyn could crawl.
National Kids to Parks Day, sponsored by the National Park Trust, was Saturday, May 19, 2018.
To celebrate, Leesburg's Parks & Recreation Department hosted a photo contest to encourage
families to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors by visiting the town's parks. Ms. Rifka will
receive a one-day family pass to the AV Symington Aquatic Center in Ida Lee Park for her
winning photo.
