HomeMy Public PortalAbout003-2000 - Grant - Wallace Crippled Children's Fund - ParkORDINANCE NO. 3-2000 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL, ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM THE WALTER E. AND ROSE M. WALLACE CRIPPLED CHILREN’S FUND WHEREAS, the Walter E. and Rose M. Wallace Crippled Children’s fund has grant funding available; and WHEREAS, the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department desires to submit a grant application to aid in the purchase of “no-barrier” playground equipment for Glen Miller Park. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows: The Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Walter E. and Rose M. Wallace Crippled Children’s Fund to aid in the purchase of “no barrier” playground equipment for Glen Miller Park. The Richmond Parks and Recreation Department is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00). Said funds, if awarded to the Richmond Parks and Recreation Department, shall be appropriated to aid in the purchase of “no barrier” playground equipment for Glen Miller Park.
