CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Fitzwater called the January 16, 2024 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at 5:45 P.M. to
review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Deeken, Hensley, Lester, Spencer, Spicer, Wiseman, and Wright*
Absent: Ahlers, Mealy, Schwartz
*Participated virtually.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Schwartz will lead the prayer.
Public Hearings
- City Staff presented pending bill 2023-073 and resolution RS2023-40.
Appointments by the Mayor
- Councilmember Lester said he will request the Parks Commission appointment be returned to
the Administration Committee for further discussion. Councilmember Spencer said he will make
a motion to approve the full slate of appointments.
Councilmember Schwartz arrived to the meeting at 5:47 P.M.
Councilmember Mealy arrived to the meeting at 5:49 P.M.
- Councilmember Mealy said he had requested in an email to discuss the Parks Comm ission
appointment at an Administrative Committee meeting. City Attorney Ryan Moehlman suggested
further discussions take place during the regular City Council meeting at 6:00 P.M.
Consent Agenda
- There were no questions at this time.
Bills Introduced
- City Staff presented their bill to be introduced.

- City Staff presented their pending bills.
Resolutions
- City Staff presented the resolution.
