HomeMy Public PortalAbout12/16/08 Special CCM527 MEDINA CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF DECEMBER 16, 2008 The City Council of Medina, Minnesota met in special session on December 16, 2008 at 6:05 p.m. in the Medina City Hall. I. Call to Order Members present: Crosby, Smith, Cavanaugh, Weir, Johnson (arrived at 6:25 p.m.) Members absent: Also present: City Administrator Chad Adams, Planning Director Tim Benetti, and Finance Director Jeanne Day II. 2009 Fee Schedule Adams provided an overview of the major changes to the fee scheduled and explained the fee schedule was being proposed for approval during the regular meeting. The Council agreed to make the following changes to the fee schedule: • Retain the building permits for windows for existing openings at $50.00 and remove the scale of windows and accommodating fees. • Change title of Moving Permit to "Moving Structure Through City Permit" • Remove Septic Repair fee until staff reports back providing justification for fee. • Remove "every three years" from septic inspection title • Add clarification that any violations to grading permits will be subject to city accrued costs • Add ordinance section citation to Upland Buffer Vegetation Review/Inspection III. City of Maple Plain Comprehensive Plan Benetti provided a brief overview of the recommended comments to send to the City of Maple Plain. The Council agreed to the comments presented in the staff memo along with additional language in reference to the Baker Park access connection and directed staff to send the letter to the City of Maple Plain.
