RESOLUTION NO. 99 -3727
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY ADOPTING A YEAR 2000 READINESS DISCLOSURE
STATEMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City ( "the City ") hereby issues a Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure
pursuant to 15 United States Code, Section 1 (Public Law 105 -271); and
WHEREAS, the City is exercising due diligence in reviewing its utility systems, computer systems,
and other electronic equipment to identify Year 2000 components, and is testing those components; and
WHEREAS, when the City identifies components that are not Year 2000 compliant, the City will
modify the components to become Year 2000 compliant, replace those components with components that
are Year 2000 compliant, or determine how to deal with components that are not Year 2000 compliant; and
WHEREAS, from time to time, the City's systems and services are interrupted by events, such
as infrastructure failures and extreme weather, but the City has always managed to restore the systems
and services within a reasonable time; and
WHEREAS, the City believes that such will also be the case with any Year 2000 problems that
are not identified and corrected beforehand:
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Although the City intends to identify Year 2000 problems before they arise and to
avoid interruption of City services or other related Year 2000 problems, the City does not certify, warrant,
represent, or guarantee, either expressly or implied, that the City will be fully successful in doing so.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this resolution.

No. 99 -3727 was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Temple City at a regular meeting held
on the 5th day of January, 1999, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman- Breazeal, Souder, Wilson, Brook, Gillanders
NOES: Councilman -None
ABSENT: Councilman -None
