CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Ron Fitzwater called the February 5, 2024 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:45 P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Councilmembers were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Ahlers, Deeken, Hensley, Lester, Mealy, Schwartz, Spicer, Wiseman, and
Wright
Absent: Spencer
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Councilmember Deeken will lead the prayer.
Miscellaneous Agenda Items
- Mayor Fitzwater will introduce the City’s new Public Information Coordinator,
Molly Bryan.
- Mayor Fitzwater will present a proclamation to the Jefferson City Jays Football
Team and Superintendent Bryan McGraw, congratulating them on their season’s
achievements.
Appointments by the Mayor
- There is one appointment on the agenda for approval . There were no questions
at this time.
Presentations from Staff, Consultants & Invited Guests
- There will be a Capital Area Active Transportation Plan presentation by Crafton
Tull, the consultant on the project.
- The USS Jefferson City Submarine crew is in town and will be attending the City
Council meeting to receive proclamations and coins from the Mayor.
Consent Agenda
- Councilmember Mealy pointed out an error in the finance packet related to item
e. Shiela Pearre, Finance and I.T. Director said the account number is correct,
but the description is in correct. The document will be corrected in the on -line
packet.
Councilmember Spencer arrived to the meeting at 5:55 P.M.

Bills Introduced
- City Staff presented their bills to be introduced.
- Staff has distributed a substitute to bill 2023-082. The substitute will be added to
the March 6th City Council meeting packet.
Resolutions
- City Staff presented their resolutions.
