HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 99-37421 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 99 -3742 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR FISCAL YEAR 1998 -99 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Rule 21, "Salaries and Benefits ", portions of Section 4 and Section 4(A) of the Temple City Rules and Regulations is hereby amended to read as follows: SEC. 4 "Management and Supervisory Employees," The following positions shall be considered management or supervisory and subject to the compensation and supplemental benefit levels provided herein: 1. City Manager 2. Assistant City Manager/Public Services Director 3. Financial Services Director 4. Community Development Director 5. City Clerk 6. Community Services Manager 7. Senior Management Assistant 8. Assistant Planner 9. Housing Officer 10. Parks and Recreation Supervisor 11. Public Safety Manager * ** 12. Public Works Coordinator ** 13. Maintenance Coordinator ** 14. Accounting Supervisor* * ** * ** Effective July 21, 1997 Effective September 29, 1997 Effective March 16, 1999 A. Administrative Leave: Management and supervisory employees are considered exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by virtue of their duties and that the City satisfies those aspects of the salary basis test required by the Department of Labor regulations implementing the FLSA. In lieu of overtime compensation, employees covered herein shall receive the following: 1. Positions number 1 through 6 above covered hereunder shall be credited on July 1 of each fiscal year with 40 hours of administrative leave. Positions number 7 through 14 above covered hereunder shall be credited on July 1 of each fiscal year with 24 hours of administrative leave. Credited leave days may be used at any time during the year with approval of the City Manager and given due consideration to the needs of the department. This policy recognizes that managerial employees may be required to periodically or routinely work long or irregular hours to fulfill the responsibilities of their positions and to attend various meetings and functions.
