This is an issue with Webex and appears to be isolated to participants that are using a web browser to attend the meeting. There seems to be an issue with Webex and the participants native web browser security permissions not allowing the Webex site to utilize certain attached hardware on the user’s PC, even if allowed in the security settings. If you are experiencing audio issues, the preferred method to attend the meeting is to download the Webex client and attend the meeting directly from the Webex installed client. When clicking on the link to attend the meeting you should get an option to download the Webex client. (See screen shot on next page) You can also use the provided phone numbers for the meeting to call into the meeting and mute all other devices on your PC. This will provide video over your PC and audio over your telephone. Troubleshooting steps if using the web browser option: Click on the arrow “v” on the Unmute button to expand your audio setting. If “Default – Speakers” is selected change the selection to the physical speakers attached to your PC that you want to hear the audio from. If you have multiple speakers try each one. If that doesn't work, try to attach a pair of headphones to the audio port on the PC and change your speaker selection to “headset” in the audio selection menu. (See screen shots below) If that doesn't work, click on “Switch Audio”, “Disconnect” your computer audio, and select “Call in” and you will be provided with the phone numbers to utilize for the meeting.
