AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION AND APPROVING THE SUBMISSION
OF A WORKABLE RELOCATION ASSISTANCE PLAN F'RA PORTION OF
THE CHROME WATERFRONT REDEVELOPM NT AREA
-
\VHEREAS, on May 12, 2004, the Borough and Cafterct Landi g, LLC entered into a
Redevelopment Agreement for the redevelopment of a portion of he Chrome Waterfront
Redevelopment Area ("Redevelopment Agreement"); and
WHEREAS, the implementation of the Redevelopment Agreen ent may likely require
the condemnation of real property within the aforementioned red velopment area and as
provided for pursuant to said Agreement and the relocation [certain commercial
property owners ancVor tenants; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to state law and regulation, such relocation may not occur prior to
the approval of a Workable Relocation Assistance Plan ('WRA ") by the New Jersey
Department of Community Affairs ("NJDCA") ; and
'VHEREAS, the Borough hereby intends to authorize the prepa ation of a WRAP and
submission of such plan to the NJDCA, for its review and approva .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and ounei! of the Borough
of Carteret that the professional planning consulting finn 0 Beacon Planning &
Consulting Services, LLC, is hereby authorized to prepare a WRA for that portion of the
Chrome Waterfront Redevelopment Area covered by the above-referenced
Redevelopment Agreement to be appropriate for the purpose of a complishing relocation
within said area, at an initial cost not to exceed $2,500.00; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the appropriate Borou h officials are hereby
authorized to execute the WRAP and take such necessary ac ions to implement its
provisions upon its approval by the NJDCA; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of said WRAP s all be submitted to the
NJDCA for its review and approval.
