Leesburg, VA (October 4, 2018) – In collaboration with the Town of Leesburg’s Economic Development Office, the Mason Enterprise Center in Leesburg will hold its next Quarterly HUBZone Contractor Chat session on Monday, October 15, 2018, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at 202 Church Street SE in downtown Leesburg. This no-cost event is open to all, but particularly of value to small government contractors. Lunch will be provided, sponsored by Dunlap, Bennett and Ludwig (www.dbllawyers.com). This quarter’s event will feature Carla Undurraga, Technology Services Sector Manager, Global Supplier Diversity Program with Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation. Undurraga will share key information regarding how a HUBZone certification can be an asset in partnering with Northrop Grumman , as well as, other ways contractors can position themselves to team with the company. Attendees should come prepared with questions, since this will be an interactive session. In her role at Northrop Grumman, Undurraga is charged with educating and assisting the Technology Services units in executing procedures that ensure compliance with federal, state, and corporate laws that govern the administration of small business programs. Undurraga has 20 years of experience in federal government contracting with both large corporations and small business and has held increasingly responsible positions in contracts, procurement, operations, and supplier diversity. This broad understanding of the federal contracting space has helped her become an advocate for small businesses and an influencer of teaming decisions at Northrop Grumman, helping small businesses win more government contracts. The Contract Chat series provides insight into successful small contractors, large prime contractors, reps from government agencies, and other resources. On a regular basis the program features a contractor or resource person who shares strategies, tips and tricks to grow your government contracting business successfully. This is also a great venue to meet new companies to team and partner with.
