A RESOLUTION OF THE GOVERNING BODY OF MOAB CITY
AMENDING THE MOAB CITY PERSONNEL POLICY TO PROVIDE FOR
CONSISTENCY AND UNIFORMITY IN DETERMINING EMPLOYEE BENEFITS
AND TIME OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Moab City provides certain employee rights and benefits and;
WHEREAS, Moab City uses a system of awarding certain employee rights
and benefits based on an employee's time in service with Moab City
and;
WHEREAS, Moab City computes the time in service from anniversary date
of the employees engagement in employment with Moab City;
WHEREAS, Moab City wishes to establish a consistent way to compute
time in service from anniversary dates for the purpose of ease of
administration of Moab City's personnel system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF MOAB CITY
that:
1. Section 3.5 of the Moab City personnel policies is hereby
adopted to read as follows:
The anniversary date for employment with Moab City of any
employee shall be deemed to be July 1, of the year of the
employees employment with Moab City.
Every employees anniversary date is hereby changed to July 1
of the year the employee was first hired by Moab City.
Any employee in the future hired by Moab City shall be given
an employee anniversary date of July 1, the year in which he
was hired. All vacation time, sick leave or other benefits
shall be pro rated to the July 1 subsequent to the new employee
hiring date.
2. This resolution shall take affect immediately upon posting.
PASSED AND APPROVED in open Council by a majority vote of the
Governing Body of Moab City Council this 16th day of July ,
A.D., 1991.
