The Council of the City of Medina met in Special Session on Thursday, December 22, 1983
at 7:30 P.M.
Present: Mayor, Thomas Anderson; Councilmembers, Thomas Crosby, William Reiser, Anne
Heideman, Wilfred Scherer; Clerk -Treasurer, Donna Roehl; Attorney, Richard
Schieffer
1. ALPANA ALUMINUM COMPANY
Motion by Heideman, seconded by Reiser to adopt Resolution 83-55, rezoning from Multi -
Residential to Industrial of 10 acres of the Gerald Dykhoff property.
Motion declared carried Abstaining, Crosby
Motion by Reiier, seconded by Heideman to adopt Resolution 83-56, granting a Conditional
Use Permit to Alpana Aluminum Company to construct a building on a 10 acre parcel, east
of Co. Rd. 116, south of Rolling Green Country Club property and north of Hwy. 55, with
Item 9, Page 2 to read, "Outdoor storage of products or materials related to the manu-
facturing processshall be permitted"
Motion declared carried. Abstaining, Crosby
2. ALPANA ALUMINUM COMPANY, INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDING PRELIMINARY PUBLIC HEARING 8:05 P.M.
Motion by Scherer, seconded Reiser to adopt Resolution 83-57, granting Preliminary approval
to the Alpana Aluminum Products Industrial Revenue Bonding project.
Motion declared carried. Abstaining, Crosby
3. ALPANA ALUMINUM COMPANY,,INDUSTRIAL REVENUE BONDING, FINAL PUBLIC HEARING, 8:10 P.M.
Motion by Heideman, seconded by Reiser to adopt Resolution 83-58,granting final approval
to the Alpana Aluminum Products Industrial Revenue Bonding project.
Motion declared carried. Abstaining,Crosby
4. ATTORNEY RICHARD SCHIEFFER'S BILL
Motion by Scherer, seconded by Reiser to pay the Attorney's November bill in the amount
of $3477.70, Order Check # 2582.
Motion declared carried
5. METROPOLITAN COUNCIL REZONING REVIEW
Motion by Heideman, seconded by Scherer to forward rezoning review request for the Dykhoff
property to the Metropolitan Council on Tuesday, December 27th along with resolutions No.
83-55 and 83-56.
Motion declared carried
Motion by Reiser, seconded by Scherer to adjourn.
