BOROUGH OF CARTERET MICRO LOAN/ RANT
PROGRAM PHASE II RESOLUTlO
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret Urban Enterprise Zone Board unanimously
recommended the adoption of a resolution requesting additional fì nding to continue a
Financial Assistance/Loan Pool Program offered, primarily, to pa icipants of Carteret
Urban Enterprise Zone Program; and
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret and the Urban Enterprise Boa d wishes to continue
such a program to assist participating Urban Enterprise Zone busin· sses by encouraging
expansion and capital improvement projects by and for such busines es; and
\VHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret and the Urban Enterprise Bo rd has reviewed the
proposed purposes and adopted a resolution to continlle a program; a d
WHEREAS, this request is for Phase n of this program in the a Ollnt of $50,000.00
(Fifty Thousand Dollors,al1d 00/100); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to NJ,S,52:27H-88(c), in order to fund th project from funds
deposited in the Enterprise Zone Assistance Fund, the govemin body must adopt a
resolution approving the project and authorizing the submission f the application for
funding.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and C unci I of the Borough
of Carteret does hereby authorize and direct the submission of a req est in the amount of
$50,000.00 to the New Jersey Commerce and Economic Growth C mission to evaluate
and approval of the project entitled:
BOROUGH OF CARTERET MICRO LOAN/GRANT PRO RAM PHASE II
to be funded from monies deposited in the Enterprise Zone Assista ce Fund and credited
to the account ofthe Borough of Carteret, said account maintained y the State Treasurer
for the Enterprise Zone.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Borough Clerk shall forw rd certified copies of
the resolution to the Urban Enterprise Zone Program Coordinato and members of the
Urban Enterprise Zone Board.
