RESOLUTION NO. 00-3820
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING RELINQUISHMENT OF
JURISDICTION OF A PORTION OF SANTA ANITA AVENUE WITHIN
SAID CITY AS PART OF THE SYSTEM OF HIGHWAYS OF THE
COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on February 27, 1996, duly adopt a resolution declaring
the portion of Santa Anita Avenue from Live Oak Avenue to Grand Avenue, and intersecting streets
appurtenant to the construction thereof, within the City of Temple City, to be a part of the System of
Highways of the County of Los Angeles, as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets and
Highways Code of the State of California for the limited purpose of resurfacing and slurry sealing the
deteriorated roadway pavement on Santa Anita Avenue between the aforementioned limits, including the
reconstruction of damaged curb, gutter, sidewalk and a cross gutter, and construction of bus pads and
wheelchair ramps; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said resolution requested this Council to give its
consent to allow the County to construct the above described improvements and perform appurtenant
work within said portion of Santa Anita Avenue in the City of Temple City described above; and
WHEREAS, said improvements were completed and finalized on December 3, 1996.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1. Consents to the exclusion of said street from the County Highway System. This
City Council does hereby consent to the exclusion of the portion of Santa Anita Avenue from Live Oak -
Avenue to Grand Avenue, and intersecting streets within the City of Temple City, as part of the System
of Highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704 inclusive of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California. Said consent was for the purpose of constructing the above-
described improvements and performing appurtenant work as may be necessary by the County of Los
Angeles.
SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on this 18th day of April 2000.
