WHEREAS, The Co Dty of Middlesex in continuing to recognize the importance of
recycling and the role that the individual municipalities lay in conjunction with the
County towards achie ¡ng ap exemplary recycling rate h s proposed to provide grant
monies to municipaJitie through the Recycling. Enhanceme t Grant (REG) Program; and
WHEREAS, It is the if tent of the REG Program to provide matching funds to qualifying
municipalities to be us d for school recycling projects, ree cling education projects, or
improvements to ree cling drop-off centers/public wo s facilities to enhance a
municipality's recyclin program; and
WHEREAS, It appear to be in the best interest of the orough of Carteret and its
citizens to apply for this grant;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE lif RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that the Reel/cling Coordinator and the Director of Public Works are hereby
authorized to submit th attacþed application for considerati n of a matching grant to the
Middlesex County Divi ion of Solid Waste Management.
