Annual Holiday Parade Scheduled for Saturday, December 8,
2018
Public encouraged to participate in this year’s event.
Leesburg, VA (November 14, 2018) –
The holiday spirit will be in full swing
as Leesburg hosts its annual holiday
parade on Saturday, December 8,
2018.
To prepare, King Street will be closed
to vehicular traffic at 5:30 p.m. from
Battlefield Parkway to Catoctin Circle.
The parade will begin at 6:00 p.m. and
usher Santa and his friends down King
Street, through the heart of historic
Leesburg. The parade will begin at Ida
Lee Drive and end at Fairfax Street.
Parade participation is open to the public, including businesses, civic groups, teams,
organizations, and community groups. A registration form can be found online or can be filled
out, in person, at Ida Lee Recreation Center.
Prior to the parade, historic downtown Leesburg will feature festive entertainment including
roaming characters, strolling musicians, horse drawn carriage rides, and photos with Santa.
While shopping in downtown Leesburg, be sure to grab a bite to eat in one of Leesburg’s many
fine restaurants!
