RESOLUTION NO. 2020-024
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AGREEMENT FOR DOT INITIATED DETOUR OF
PRIMARY HIGHWAYS ONTO LOCAL ROADS
Whereas, the Iowa Department of Transportation will need to have nighttime detours
through the City of Tiffin onto Ireland Avenue and Highway 6 as the result of the
I-80/I-380 Interchange Project; and,
Whereas, it is desirable to have an agreement between the DOT and the City that
reflects the nature of the detour and the necessary requirements which includes the
replacement of the at-grade railroad crossing on Ireland Avenue,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa, to approve
the attached detour agreement and detour map for the I-80/I-380 interchange project
with the DOT.

On the 7 day of April, 2020, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa,
Councilperson _____ introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2020-024, A RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE AGREEMENT FOR DOT INITIATED DETOUR OF PRIMARY
HIGHWAYS ONTO LOCAL ROADS and made a motion for approval. Motion
seconded by Councilperson _____.

Whereupon _____ Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor
Berner declared that RESOLUTION NO. 2020-024, A RESOLUTION APPROVING
THE AGREEMENT FOR DOT INITIATED DETOUR OF PRIMARY HIGHWAYS ONTO
LOCAL ROADS to be adopted and signified his approval of the same by affixing his
signature thereto.
