'WHEREAS, the Boroußh of Carteret Urban EntefJ rise Zone Board unanimously
recommended the adopti~n of a resolution requesting' dditional funding to continue a
Financial ASSistance/Loa! Pool Program offered, prim rily, to participants of Carteret
Urban Enterprise Zone Pr gram; and I
\VHEREAS, the Boroug of Carteret ami the Urban Ent rprise Board wishes to continue
such a program to assist articipating Urban Enterprise one businesses by encouraging
expanSlOn and capital improvement projects by and for s eh businesses; and

WHEREAS, the Boroug* of Carteret and the Urban E erprise Board has reviewed the
proposed purposes and adfPted a resolution to continue a program; and
WHEREAS this reques~ is for the continuation of t lÌs program in the amount of
$50,000.00 (F~rty Tho~lsQ/~d Dollars and OO/JOO); and
\VHEREAS pursuant to!'N.J.S.52:27H-SS(C), in order 0 fund the project from funds
deposited In the Enterpri e Zone Assistance Fund, the governing body must adopt a
resolution approving the project and authorizing the su mission of the application for
fundmg. i

- NOW, THEREFORE, ß~ IT RESOLVED that the Ma or and Council of the Borough
of Carteret hereby auth0r1ze and direct the submission of a request in the amount of
$50,000.00 to the New Jer~ey Commerce and Economic rowth Commission to evaluate
and approval of the projec~ entItled:
BOROUGH OF CARtERET MICRO LOAN PRO :;RAM PROJECT #05-135
to be funded frum monies þeposited in the Enterprise Zo e Assistance Fund and credited
to the account of the Boro~gh ofCarteret, said account m intained by the State Treasurer
for the Enterprise Zone. '
BE IT FURTHER RESO~YED that the Borough Clerk hall forward certified copies of
the resDlution to the Urbar Enterprise Zone Program C ordinator and members of the
Urban Enterprise Zone Bocird.
