Tybee Island, GA 31328 Dear Ms. Brown: To follow up on our previous telephone conversations, I do regret your recent slip and fall at Huc-a-poo's Bites and Booze. Upon learning of this event from you, I went to the location to see if any improvements could be made to possibly help prevent future accidents. I then contacted Eric Thomas, manager of Huc-a- poo's, and we discussed the site. We made another visit to,the location, and he and I agreed that some improvements could be made. I next contacted a representative of the property owners to discuss the matter. A third visit was made to the location by me, along with Eric Thomas and the owners' representative. A list of improvements to implement was agreed upon. As of Monday, August 3, improvements had begun. The improvements are as follows: • Improve lighting at the side porch • Provide slip resistant surfacing on treads at side porch • Provide additional handrail at side porch • Provide additional intermediate handrails at front porch • Provide additional handrails at front porch We feel these improvements will improve the areas and greatly reduce the chance of a future mishap.
