AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THS SUM OF SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS ($6,000.00)
FROM MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY CASH OPERATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE HIGHWAY 5-37
(7-72-726) OTHER EQUIPMENT, "PROPERTY".
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Motor Vehicle Highway Department
of Richmond, Indiana, to transfer the sum of six thousand dollars ($6,000.
00) from the Motor Vehicle Highway Cash Operating Fund, to Motor Vehicle
Highway S-37 (7-72-726) Other Equipment, "Property", and
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, after careful study and consideration on the 30th of January,
1969, approved that an ordinance be prepared for Common Council's con-
sideration to make the above transfer of funds, and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual- budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government
than was appropriated.in the annual budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana.•,., :.:',
SECTION 1. That #oar tl% expenses of the City Goernment and its insti-
tutions for the year. ending December 31, 1969 the following money is
hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named for the purpose
specified: Said sum being subject to all laws governing the same. Such
amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized
to be m6de during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That tlxl;fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from

SECTION 3. WHEREA-., it:has been shown that certain existing appropriations
now have unobligatad balances which will not be used for the purpose
appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond,
Indiana, that such -unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in
amount as followst and .the same is appropriated to the above named item.

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation.
SECTION b. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval' by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the
State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
