AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUMS OF $119,492.09 FROM THEJ($CIJMlLATIVE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND AND $84,508.00 FROM THEISCUMULATIVE BUILDING
FUND TO THE FIRE STATION BUILDING FUND, FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW
NO. 1. FIRE STATION.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 38-1968 established a Fire Station Bldg. Fund to
provide funds from monies transferred from Cumulative Bldg. Fund and
Cumulative Captial Improvement Fund (cigarette tax) to provide funds for
the following purpose.
To build, construct and erect, equip
and maintain a building for Fire Station
No. 1, in the City of Richmond, Indiana
WHEREAS, there is a need for funds to do all those things necessary to
erect a fire station; and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more money for the various functions of the City government
than was appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the city government and its insti-
tutions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following amount of
money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the *Cumulative
Capital Improvement Fund and *umulative Building Fund for the iM
Fire Station Building Fund. Said sum being subject�o all laws governing
the same and such amount appropriated shall be held nclude all expendi-
tures authorizedto be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated
by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated
from the �6umulative Cap*l Improvement Fund and the 4&A& ulative
Building Fund for the Fire Station Building Fund the following specified
amount to meet the extraordinary emergencies hereby declared to exist%

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of
the State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
