HomeMy Public PortalAbout2386-1969 - Appropriation - From General Cash Operating to Engineering for Photographing and BlueprintingORDINANCE NO. 2386-1969 AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($400.00) FROM THE GENERAL BIND CASH OPERATING TO ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT BUDGET ACCOUNT NO. GENERAL H-13 (2-24-243) PHOTOGRAPHING & BLUEPRINTING, "SERVICES CONTRACTUAL". WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Engineering Department to transfer the sum of four hundred dollars ($400.00) from the General Fund Cash Operating to Engineering Department Budget Account No. General H-13 (2-24-243) Photographing & Blueprinting, "Services Contractual". WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond after careful study and consideration on the 3Oth day of January, 1969, approved that an ordinance be prepared for Common Council's consideration to make the above transfer of funds, and WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions of the City Government than was appropriated in the annual budget. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.. SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its insti- tutions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following monoy is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws governing the some. Such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law. SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appropriated from the General Fund Cash Operating to meet the extraordinary emergency de- clared to exist. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be used for the purpose appropriated. IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana that such unnecessary existing appropriations be now reduced in amount as follows:s and the same is.appropriated to the above named item. REQUESTED REDUCTION General Fund Casty Operating $ 400.00 SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above appropriation. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall' be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
