ORDINANCE 2388, 1969
AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF THREE HUNDRED FIFTY
DOLLARS ($350.00) FROM THE GENERAL FUND CASH OPERATING TO
GENERAL C-2 (1-11-112) SALARY 1st DEPUTY "SERVICES PERSONAL"
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
by adoption of.the Salary Ordinance for 1969, Ordinance 2335, 1968, fixed the
salary of the 1st Deputy, Office of City Clerk, at Five Thousand Dollars ($5, 000.00),
and
WHEREAS, the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana,
passed and adopted an Appropriation Ordinance 2343-1968, appropriating the
sum of Four Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Dollars ($4, 650.00) to pay said salary,
and
WHEREAS, the Statutes of the State of Indiana provide that when the
salary has been so fixed, pursuant to Statute, it shall be the duty of the Common
Council to appropriate moneys to pay the same; that said salary so fixed shall
not be increased or reduced during the fiscal year, and
WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen for an additional appropriation
for the payment of the salary of the 1st Deputy, Office of City Clerk, as fixed
by the said salary ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said additional appropriation is recommended by the City
Controller of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL
of the City of Richmond, Indiana:
Section 1. That there is hereby appropriated from the General
Fund Cash Operating the sum of Three Hundred Fifty Dollars ($350.00) to
General C-2 (1-11-112) Salary 1st Deputy, Services Personal, as an additional
appropriation for the payment of the salary of the 1st Deputy, Office of the City
Clerk, as fixed by the salary ordinance, Ordinance 2335 , 1968, passed and
adopted by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.

Section 2. An emergency exists for the above additional appropriation.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval by the Mayor and such other approval as required
by the Statutes of the State of Indiana governing emergency appropriations.
PASSED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, this 3 AJ—day
