AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUMS OF $117,231.30 FROM THE CUMULATIVE
CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND AND $47,768.70 FROM THE CUMULATIVE CAPITAL
IMPROVEMENT FUND (CIGARETTE TAX) TO THE FIRE STATION BUILDING FUND FOR
THE NO. 1 FIRE STATION OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 38-1968 established a Fire Station Bldg. Fund to
provide funds from monies transferred from Cumulative Bldg. Fund and
Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (cigarette tax) to provide funds for
the following purpose.
To build, construct and erect, equip and
maintain a building for Fire Station
No. 1, in the City of Richmond, Indiana.
WHEREAS, there is a need for funds to install a fire alarm and comounica-
tion system for said No. 1 Fire Station; and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since the
adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now necessary to
appropriate more.money for the various functions of the City Government
than was appropriated in the annual budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RICHMOND, INDIANAs
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the city government and its institu-
tions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following amount of
money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the Cumulative Capital
Improvement Fund and Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund (cigarette tax)
to the Fire Station Building Fund for the No. 1 Fire Station. Said
sum being subject to all laws governing the same and such amount appropri-
ated shall be held to include all expenditures authorized to be made
during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated
from the Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund and the Cumulative Capital
Improvement Fund (cigarette tax) to the Fire Station Building Fund for
the No. 1 fire station in the City of Richmond, Indiana, the following
specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergencies hereby declared to
exists

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the
State of Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
