AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2325-1968, COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE ZONING
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, ADOPTED JUNE 3, 1968.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as
follows:
SECTION 1. WHEREAS, the Zoning Map which is a part of Ordinance No. 2325-1968,
designates and describes as R-2 Single Family District, the
following described property located in the City of Richmond,
Indiana, to -wit:
Lot Number 15 and 9.74 rods off the north end of Lot Number
34 all as numbered on a recorded plat of the Town of Green-
wood, as laid out by James W. Salter in the northwest quarter
of Section 9, Township 13, Range 1 West, now a part of the
City of Richmond, Indiana. Being the same real estate con-
veyed to Everett Gibson by deed dated May 12, 1967, recorded
May 159 1967 at Deed Record 333, page 574 of the records of
the Recorder of Wayne County, Indiana.
A part of Lot Number 33 in James W. Salter's Addition to
Richmond, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing at a
point 212 feet north of South "0" Street on the west side
of said Lot Number 33 and running thence north along said
west side thereof a distance of 109.42 feet; thence east a
distance of 81 feet; thence south parallel with the west
side of said lot a distance of 109.42 feet; thence west a
distance of 81 feet to the place of beginning.
ALSO, a part of Lot Number 34 in James W. Salter's Addition
to Richmond, Indiana, described as follows: Commencing
at the southwest corner of lot number 34; thence north 19.48
rods; thence east 12 rods to the east line of Lot Number 34;
thence south 19.48 rods to the southeast corner of Lot Number
34; thence west 12 rods to the place of beginning.
SUBJECT to that portion condemned for the opening of South
12th Street.
SECTION 2. WHEREAS, it is the intent and purpose hereof to change the zoning
classification of the above described area from R-2 Single
Family to R-3 One to Eight Family Residence.
SECTION 3. WHEREAS, a study of this ordinance was conducted by the Richmond City
Plan Commission on the 24th day of June , 1969, at
which time remonstrances were heard from all parties interested
in or affected by this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. WHEREAS, the vote of the Richmond City Plan Commission was seven (7)
to zero (0) in (favor -of/ opposition to) recommending the
adoption of Ordinance No. 2398-1969.
NOW THEREFORE:
SECTION 5. It is hereby ordained that the Zoning Classification of the above
described property be, and the same is hereby changed to
R-3 One to Eight Family Residence and that said property
be regulated in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Richmond, Indiana, and all amendments thereto:
SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be in full force and affect from and after its
passage and publication as by law requried.
PASSED, by the Richmond Common Council, City of Richmond, Indiana, this 15th
