AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF $35, 000.00 FROM THE
CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND (Cigarette Tax) TO CON-
TRACTUAL SERVICES, NORTH & SOUTH "A" STREETS CONSTRUCTION
FUND.
WHEREAS, there is a need for funds to do those things necessary to construct
and reconstruct North & South "A" Streets for the purpose of complying with
Indiana State Highway Commission requirements for relocation of U. S. Highway
# 40.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF RICHMOND, INDIANA:
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City government and its institutions
for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following amount of money is hereby
appropriated and set apart from The Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund
(Cigarette Tax) to Contractual Services, North & South "A" Streets Construction
Fund for construction and reconstruction of North & South "A" Streets for the
purpose of complying with Indiana State Highway Commission requirements for
relocation of U. S. Highway # 40. Said sum being subject to all laws governing
the same and such amount appropriated shall be held to include all expenditures
authorized to be made during the year, unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the said fiscal period, there is hereby appropriated from
The CumulaWe Capital Improvement Fund (Cigarette Tax) to the. Contractual
Services, Ninth & South "A" Streets Construction Fund for the construction and
reconstruction of North & South "A" Streets for the purpose of complying with
Indiana State Highway Commission requirements for relocation of U. S. Highway
# 40, the following specified amount to meet the extraordinary emergencies
hereby declared to exist:

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor and is subject to the laws of the State of
Indiana, governing emergency appropriations.
