AN ORDINANCE TO APPROPRIATE THE SUM OF TEN THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED
THIRTEEN DOLLARS AND SIX CENTS ($10,213.06) FROM THE GENERAL
FUND CASH OPERATING TO GENERAL J-1 (1-11-111) SALARY, CUSTODIANS
SERVICES PERSONAL, AND GENERAL J-13 (2-25-252) REPAIR OF EQUIPMENT
SERVICES CONTRACTUAL, AND GENERAL J-20 (3-36-363) OTHER OFFICE
SUPPLIES.
WHEREAS, a request has been made by the Controller of the City
of Richmond to transfer the sum of $10,213.06 from the General
Fund Cash Operating to General J-1 (1-11-111) Salary, Custodians
Services Personal, and General J-13 (2-25-252) Repair of Equip-
ment Services Contractual, and General J-20 (3-36-363) Other
Office Supplies.
WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of
Richmond after careful study and consideration on the 17th day
of April, 1969, approved that an ordinance be prepared for
Common Council's consideration to make the above transfer of funds,
and
WHEREAS, certain extraordinary emergencies have developed since
the adoption of the existing annual budget so that it is now
necessary to appropriate more money for the various functions
of the City Government than was appropriated fn the annual
budget.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City
of Richmond, Indiana.
SECTION 1. That for the expenses of the City Government and its
institutions for the year ending December 31, 1969, the following
money is hereby appropriated and set apart out of the fund named
for the purpose specified. Said sum being subject to all laws
governing the same. Such amount appropriated shall be held to
include all expenditures authorized to be made during the year,
unless expressly stipulated by law.
SECTION 2. That for the fiscal period there is hereby appro-
priated from the General Fund Cash Operating to meet the extra-
ordinary emergency declared to exist.

SECTION 3. WHEREAS, it has been shown that certain existing ""
appropriations now have unobligated balances which will not be. —
used for the purpose appropriated.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of
Richmond, Indiana that such unnecessary existing appropriations
be now reduced in amount as follows: and the same is appropriated
to the above named items.

SECTION 4. An extraordinary emergency exists for the above
appropriation.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor and is
subject to the laws of the State of Indiana governing emergency
appropriations.
