A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD ADOPTING
A CONTRACT SERVICES AGREEMENT FOR LEGAL SERVICES WITH McCUNE &
HARBER, LLP
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is permissively Self-Insured through its contract
and. membership with the Independent Cities Risk Management Association (ICRMA);
and
WHEREAS, ICRMA provides insurance coverage for claims that exceed the
'City's $200;000Se1f-Ensured Retention (SIR); and
WHEREAS, per agreement, ICRMA assumes legal control of claims that are
projected to exceed the City's SIR; and
WHEREAS, McCune and Harber is the legal firm of choice for ICRMA to use for
the defense of certain claims; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to contract directly with McCune and Harber to
provide said legal services.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, DETERMINE, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the attached contract with McCune and Harber LLP will be
made effective for a two year period, beginning October 20, 2009 or until the City's Self-
Insured Retention (SIR) of $200,000 is reached, whichever is sooner.
Section 2. That this resolution shall become effective immediately upon its
adoption.
