HomeMy Public PortalAboutResolution 00-39601 1 1 RESOLUTION NO. 00 -3960 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY ESTABLISHING A NEW "SURVEY AREA" FOR THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 33310 ET SEQ. OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, this City Council fmds and determines that it has heretofore created itself as a Community Redevelopment Agency by Ordinance No. 71 -333; WHEREAS, pursuant thereto, the Community Redevelopment Agency has established and is still in the process of redeveloping the "Rosemead Boulevard Redevelopment Project"; WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of this City Council that a new area is in need of study to determine whether or not it meets the requirements (and is feasible) for a second redevelopment project. Such area is hereby designated as the "Las Tunas Redevelopment Project" area, and is more fully described on the Map attached hereto and hereby adopted herein by reference as though at this point set forth in full; NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to Section 33310 et seq. of the California Health & Safety Code, the area set forth on the attached Map and known as the proposed Las Tunas Redevelopment Project (generally described as the area from Rosemead Boulevard on the West, Rowland Avenue on the East, Woodruff Avenue on the North, and Workman Avenue on the South) is designated as a "Survey Area" for the City Council, Planning Commission and Community Redevelopment Agency to study as to feasibility for a second project area. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution. APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of October 2000.
