RESOLUTION NO. 01 -3982
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A APPLICATION
FOR A CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City is committed to the safety of its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Temple City supports working with community based organizations; and
WWERE.AS, the City of Temple City desires a multi - disciplinary approach to address traffic safety
problems.
NOW, TrIEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City does hereby:
SECTION 1. Authorize the City Manager to apply for a California Office of Traffic Safety Grant; and,
SECTION 2. Express its support for programs to be funded by the grant, including:
educational /informational public outreach programs, school bicycle rodeos; and courteous driver recognition
programs; and,
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED on this 16th day of January, 2001.
