THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS
ORDINANCE NO. 470
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LOCATED
WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BEL
AIRE, KANSAS FROM THE PRESENT "AG",
AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT TO THE "C-2", PLANNED
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS.
WHEREAS, notice of an June 14, 2007 Bel Aire Planning Commission public
hearing on Zoning Case Number SD-01-07 changing the zoning classification of the herein
described real property located within the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas
from the present "AG", Agricultural District to the "C-2", Planned Commercial District was
published in the official city newspaper on May 24, 2007 and mailed on May 22, 2007 to all
owners of record of lands, within the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, located within
200 feet of the proposed zoning change and outside the corporate limits of the City of Bel
Aire, located within 1,000 feet of the proposed zoning change.
WHEREAS, the Bel Aire Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on June
14,2007 on changing the zoning classification ofthe herein described real property located
within the corporate limits of the City of Bel Aire, Kansas from the present "AG", Agricultural
District to the "C-2", Planned Commercial District, and thereafter, based upon the public
hearing and a discussion of the factors to consider in re-zoning, voted to approve said zone
change subject to the condition that the property be properly platted.
WHEREAS, more than 14 days has elapsed since said public hearings and no
protest petition has been filed with the Bel Aire City Clerk.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE
CITY OF BEL AIRE, KANSAS:
Section 1. Zone Chanae

The official zoning classification of the property hereinafter described is hereby
changed from the present zoning classifications of nAG", Agricultural District to the "C-2",
Planned Commercial District, subject to the condition that the property be properly platted.
Said property is legally described as follows:
The Bel Aire Industrial Park Addition to the City of Bel Aire, Sedgwick County,
Kansas and the Bel Aire Industrial Park 2nd Addition to the City of Bel Aire,
Sedgwick County, Kansas.
Section 2. ZoninQ Map Amendment
The official zoning map of the city of Bel Aire, Kansas is hereby amended in
accordance with Section 1 of this Ordinance.
Section 3. Effective Date
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force thirty (30) days from and after its
publication in the official city newspaper.
Passed by the City Council this 18th day of November, 2008.
Approved by the Mayor this 18th day of Novmeber, 2008.
