Leesburg Utilities Department to Host Open House on
Saturday, January 12, 2019
Tours of the water and wastewater plant will be available to those who pre-
register for the event.
Leesburg, VA (December 27, 2018) –
The Leesburg Utilities Department will
host an open house on Saturday,
January 12, 2019, to give local
residents the opportunity to learn
more about the services and
equipment used to provide safe,
efficient, and reliable water and
wastewater services in the Town.
The event will highlight the Closed-
Circuit Television (CCTV) pipe
inspection system, backflow
prevention program, online water
usage monitoring, and more. The Town’s Vactor vacuum truck (pictured above), used to
remove sludge and debris from sewer lines, will be on display while tours of the water and
wastewater plant will be available to those who pre-register.
Staff will be on hand to answer questions regarding water and sewer services including
information on the proposed 2019 rates.
The free event will be held at the Utilities Department, located at 1385 Russell Branch Parkway
