REJECTING BID AND AUTHORIZING REBID F( R SOLDIER
AND SAILORS MONUMENT RENOV ATI )NS
\VHEREAS, the Borough previously solicited and received bids ~ r the S.oJdier and
Sailors Monument Renovations project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has advised the Borough that the bids received
were significantly in excess of the engineer's cost estimate for the p ject; and
'VHEREAS, the Borough engineer has recommended the rejection of said bid and
the authorization to re-advertise for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor an
Borough ofCarteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as
Council of the

1. The bids previously solicited and received for the Soldier an Sailors
Monument Renovations project are hereby rejected.
2. The appropriate Borough officials arc hereby directed to take necessary action
to fe-advertise for bids for said project.
3. That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Borough e gineer" T &M
Associates, and the Borough's purchasing department for app opnate action.
