Williams 1501 Chatham Avenue Tybee Island, GA 31331 RE: Revocable License -Construction of a Private Residence Dock Facility, Tybee Creek, Chatham County, Georgia (GPS-31.59708°N180.51272°W) Dear Mr. &Ms. Williams: In response to your application for a Department of the Army Programmatic General Permit PGP0083 (960009050) for a private, single-family residence,recreational dock facility, please find enclosed a fully executed Revocable License for the construction and maintenance of a private, single-family residence, recreational dock facility. This license serves as authorization to utilize state-owned tidal water bottoms for your dock facility as per the location,dimensions,and configuration depicted in your application for such license. Your proposed structure will consist of a 6' x 30' walkway to a 20' x 20' fixed deck with a 20'x 14' cover,a 6' x 6'platform to a 12'x 12' boat lift with a 4'x 24'access walk and a 3' x 20'ramp to a 10' x 24' floating dock. The dock will be constructed approximately 16'from the extended property line to the left and approximately 38' from the extended property line to the right of the structure. The entire project extends approximately 40' into the waterway at a point where the waterway is approximately 1,500'wide at mean low water. The height of any covered area cannot exceed 12'from the lowest part of the decking on the facility, Any change in the use, location, dimensions, or configuration of the approved facility, without prior notification and approval from this office, could result in the revocation of this license and in required removal of the facility. Based on the information and plans submitted with your application,it has been determined that the proposed dock facility complies with the terms and requirements outlined in the PGP0083. All activities performed under this permit must meet the conditions stated in the enclosed copy of the PGP0083. This dock facility must be constructed precisely to the approved location,dimension,and configuration as d picted in the drawings and description provided. If dock corridors exist,please ensure that this dock facility is constructed in such a fashion that the entire structure fits between the extended properly lines. The facility,for which these authorizations are issued,shall not be used at any time for business or commercial purposes. Prohibited uses include,but are not limited to,leasing of the permitted dock space; docking a commercial fishing vessel of any type; and utilization of the dock facility in any tour or charter boat fishing activities. The use of this facility for other than private,single family residence, recreational purposes will result in the immediate revocation of the license and in required removal of the entire facility from state-owned property, and possible criminal and civil penalties as provided b'y law. You must obtain a county or municipal building permit prior to beginning construction of the dock facility. The tidal water bottoms and marshlands of coastal Georgia are public trust lands controlled by the state, except over such lands where a validated Crown or State Grant exists. This license authorizes use of lands assumed to be under the control of the state. You may proceed with construction of this project with the knowledge and understanding that this license agreement could be rendered invalid should another person produce a validated Crown Grant or State,Grant. Build a 6' X 32' fixed walkway with a 12' X 6' extension.Pile are 12"butt, 2.5 cca_ 4"X8"caps will be through bolted to notched pile with a 5/8" HDG dome head bolt. Four 2"X8" stringers will be set on 24"centers. 2"X6"decking will be installed with stainless steel nails. A 32"handrail will be installed consisting of a 4"X4"post with a brace,two 2"X4" sides and a 2"X6"on top. Cost: $7,500.00 B. Build a 20' X 20' main dock. Nine 12" butt,2.5 cca pile will be driven to support the main dock. 4"X12"caps will be through bolted onto notched piling. Decking and handrail will be installed as described above. Cost: Decking=400 sq-ft X$20/sq-ft= $8,000.00 Pile= 9 X 40' X $22/ft= $7,920.00 C. Build a 18' X 24' roof which will cover a portion of the main dock. The roof will consist of 4"X12"band boards, 2"X6" rafters, 1"X6"sheeting,and shingles. Cost: Roof=432 sq-ft X $20/sq-ft = $8,640.00 D. Install a 6,000 lb cradle lift with remote adjacent to the walkway. The hoist will be supported by four new 12" butt, 2.5 cca pile. Install a 4'X28' access walk adjacent to the boat hoist. Install a 16' X 28' roof over the cradle lift. Two additional pile will be driven to support one end of the roof. Cost: Lift and installation= $7,500.00 Piling= 6 X 45' X$22/ft= $5,940.00 Roof=448 sq-ft X $20/sq-ft= $8,960.00 Access walk= $3,500.00 1/2 FEB-07-2007 09:58 97% P.04 Burkhalter 10/14/05 13.
