RESOLUTION NO. 01-4006
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
CANCELING THE PROPOSED ROSEMEAD MUNICIPAL PARKING LOT
PROJECT AND THE LAS TUNAS DRIVE REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA
STUDY
WHEREAS, the City Council has, for over nine months, discussed the need for
revitalizing and increasing the diversity of businesses within the City's business districts; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has also been informed of the downward trend in the City's
sales tax revenues, which represents 21.6% of the City's General Fund annual revenue; and,
WHEREAS, the General Fund provides the City Council with its greatest source of
resources to support valued City services, such as police protection and park improvements; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, in response to comments from both the residential and
business communities, initiated two studies to gather information on the feasibility and potential
impacts, both positive and negative, of the Rosemead Municipal Parking Lot and the Las Tunas
Redevelopment Project Area; and,
WHEREAS, the Council has solicited and received input about these proposals from
certain segments of the Temple City community.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE:
SECTION 1. The proposed Rosemead Municipal Parking Lot Project is cancelled;
and,
SECTION 2. The proposed Las Tunas Redevelopment Project Area Study is
cancelled; and,
SECTION 3. The City Manager is hereby directed to immediately implement this
action of the City Council.

I, City Clerk of the City of Temple City, do hereby certify that Resolution No. 01 -4006 was
adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Temple City held on the 17th day of
April, 2001. It was duly passed, approved and adopted by said Council, approved and signed by
the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of April, 2001
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman - Souder, Vizcarra, Zovak, Gillanders, Wilson
NOES: Councilman -None
