I. Call to order — 7:00 p.m.
A. Commissioners present —Gahlen Bruer (Chair), Brad Kvanbek
(Secretary), Ray Essendrup and Randy Hughes.
B. Also present — Jim Dillman and Bill Dermody
II. Additions to agenda. —
A. Examine the potential usage of a pedestrian bridge over Highway
55 at Sioux Drive. - Commissioners will examine site, Jim will check
on ruff price and we will discuss at the next meeting.
B. Hennepin Parks will be putting in tunnel under County Road 19 in
Baker Park. — Discussed impact on trails.
III. Approval of last meeting's minutes. — Approved.
IV.Business.
A. Updates.
1. Morningside — None.
2. Independence Beach — None.
3. Maple — None.
4. Holy name — None.
5. Hunter —None.
6. Legion Park — None
B. Natural features tour program. — Discussed plaques and/or
postings at city hall and financing. The following motion passed.
1. The Park Commission recommends that the City of Medina
create a Natural Areas Registry Program. The Program would
utilize money from the city's environmental fund. City staff would
send out letters soliciting participation to be signed by the mayor
and a representative of the HCD. Property owners who accept
participation will receive recognition plaques.

C. Wild Meadows trail recommendation. - Discussed Draft of
Resolution and changes, Gahlen will make changes to his document.
D. Morningside playground equipment hearing date. - Letters will be
sent to Morningside residents to come to next meeting.
