HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-21-1959-4•irt Medina Planning Commission called to order at 6 p.m., December 21, 1959. Present were Fortin, Schumacher, Gasper, and Scherer. Scherer was asked to take minutes of the meeting. Minutes of November meeting were read and a motion by Schumacher and seconded ray Scherer to accept minutes as read. Motion carried. Arlo Eisinger asked Planning Commission to make a study of a plan to put our Village Constanles on permanent basis instead of the present method of being elected. Fortin suggested neinging the matter up at next meeting. The rezoning of Wm. Rudolph property was discussed. All agreed with the argu- ments presented at the public hearing ar_sainst rezoning. It was decided as a policy to vote a secret oallot. Potion by Scherer and seconded ny gasper to vote yes on recommending rezoing and vote no if opposed to rezoning the Wm. Rudolph property ;petitioned ny Veryl Wyman and Jerome Scherer for the purpose as stated in punlic notice of the village paper, Minnetonka Herald. Motion carried. Vote was in favor of not rezoning. Walter Kohonen presented a plat of five lots descrined as Independence Heights sun devision for consideration. Village Engineer, Carter, read from zoning ordinances on page 15, Section 32 platting ordinance of 5; of land or land value for parks. Also, he read page 22, Section 10 on cost of filing of plat with village-4 25 for 15 lots or less; $1.00 for each additional lot over 15 on one plat. Carter also suggested the Village start a file for all plats for permanent records. Also to watch for cross wklks in long nlocks and not to accept half streets. Motion ny Scherer and seconded ny Gasper to recommend acceptance of Kohonen's plat descrined as follows: Independence Heights, sub division descrined in Kelley cud Kelley's plat dated Nov. 26, 1959 as follows: East line of NW quatter of SW quatter of Section Nineteen (19) T 118 N. H 23 W. He was also requested to present at council meeting $25 for filing fee plus z, check for of land value for park purposes which was agreed at $30.00. iot.on carried, Motion ny Schumacher and seconded ny Gasper to recommend council to open a special sank account for park fund.
