RESOLUTION NO. 2009.207
A RESOLUTION OF THE ,CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO. 2 AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ;'
EXECUTE CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER NO. 2; ACCEPTING THE ABBOTT ROAD '
WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENT PROJECT, PROJECT NUMBER 4011.67.950 AS `~
BEING COMPLETE; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO PROCESS THE ~ }
RECORDATION OF THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION ~.
WHEREAS,. on May 6, 2009,- the City Council of the City of Lynwood awarded a
contract to VCI Telcom, Inc. dba VCI Construction in the amount of $370,319.41; and
WHEREAS, construction for the Abbott Road Water Main Improvement Project
.(from Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd: to McNerney Ave.) started on June 22, 2009 and was
completed on September 1.7,' 2009;~and _ , _ _ .-
WHEREAS, the project is funded by the 1999 Water Bond; and
WHEREAS, Contract Change Order No. 2 increased the cost of the project to
$58,543.34; and
WHEREAS, the total final .project construction cost is $428,862.75; and

WHEREAS, the Department .of Public Works conducted a finale inspection- on
September 17, 2009, and found that all work is complete in accordance with the project
plans and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER, AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts Contract Change
Order No. 2 and authorizing the Mayor to execute Contract Change Order No. 2.

Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Water Main
.Improvement Project on Abbott Road (from Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. to McNerney
Ave.), Project No. 4011.67.950, as complete in accordance with the contract documents
and authorizes the City Engineer to process the recordation of the Notice of Completion.
Section 3. This resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
